Creative Studio Manager

Oracle Marketing Cloud (OMC) is a department within the global company that represents some of the most sophisticated marketing tech on the planet.

To power that technology, and make the most of it, you need people and creativity. That’s where our studio came in.

For four years I headed the Creative Services department at OMC APAC; we helped clients make the most of their products by advising them, training them and creating for them.

Working with brands like Woolworths, Telstra, Vodafone and Jetstar we built great customer experiences in email and web. We designed product onboarding programs, email newsletters, triggered notification emails and added award-winning interactivity to the inbox.

The key to our success was based in the relationships we built. Relationships with clients, with our internal Sales, Strategy and Customer Success Managers, and with teams at agencies like Leo Burnett, The Monkeys and Lavender CX.

The team thrived through a culture of trust, mutual respect and collaboration, all the while putting the user at the centre. I calendared weekly meetings, collaboration with our international colleges and encouraged experimentation by proposing OMC Labs. Labs was our digital marketing sandbox, ultimately responsible for award-winning innovations never before seen. Interactive emails, shop-from-email prototypes were just a few of the advances we made in the channel.

The department supported Oracle Marketing Cloud’s priority of winning and maintaining key accounts. We did this by providing expert services our competitors couldn’t. Those clients who used our Creative Services were much more likely to renew.

I’m very proud of the work we produced, client successes we shared and of the team that developed and grew over that time.
